  • Production of high potency bulk pharmaceuticals, including steroids.
  • Large scale Grignard reactions ( 6000 liter reactors), in an ether-free environment .
  • Development and use of proprietary heterogeneous catalysts including supported metals; bulk and supported mixed oxides and sulfides; zeolites; solid acids and bases.
  • Large scale high pressure hydrogenation.
  • Customer-tailored manufacturing scales - from lab and kilo size through to pilot scale (up to 600 liters) production, all the way to multi-ton commercial quantities.
  • N-Alkylation, O-Alkylation, Condensation, Demethylation, Esterification, Friedel Crafts Reaction, Hydrolysis, Reduction with Metal Hydrides, Oxidation with MnO2 and Oxidation/Dehydrogenation.
  • 21 US Drug Master Files (DMF), 13 European and 7 Canadian DMFs, others pending

State-of-the-art Instrumentation

Operating under strict cGMP conditions, Chemagis' R&D facilities comply with FDA standards and are equipped with advanced instrumentation, including:
GC-MS, LC-MS, GCs and HPLCs (including PDA) microscopes, Malvern (laser diffraction for psd determination), FTIR, RC-1 computer controlled reaction vessel and Calorimeter, and access to NMR (including solid-state), DTA-DTG-DSC, AA ICP, XRD, TPD, TPO & TPR, Hg Porosimeter, crush strength analyzer, BET-PSD, SAXS, SEM-EDX & TEM-EDX, STM, AFM, XPS, XRF.
